Yujin Jay Preston March 12, 1979 - August 2, 1999 Memorial Friday, August 20, 1999 10 am Spartan School of Aeronautics, Tulsa, OK (Flight Campus) In Loving Memory On a wing and a prayer to Jehovah Consider John 5: 28-29 Yujin Jay Preston entered this world March 12, 1979, about sixty days premature. He left it about sixty years premature. He died on the slopes of Mt. Taylor, west of Albuquerque August 2 (Declared dead August 12), while flying back to school from the Gods Prophetic Word District Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses in Long Beach, CA. He lived and died doing what he loved.Yujin grew up with a loving family of Jehovahs Witnesses, and he was active in the preaching activity since a little boy in the North Inglewood Congregation and later attended his congregation in Tulsa, OK while studying at Spartan School of Aeronautics. He witnessed to the end, with his Bible and new "Daniels Prophesy" book readily visible to the rescue team on the mountain, identifying him as one of Jehovahs Witnesses. Besides his love of flying, he loved playing video games like Soul Calibur and was a voracious reader. He played numerous musical instruments (soprano, alto, tenor sax, piano, trombone) and competitive tennis. He was a PADI certified SCUBA diver, was well traveled, and loved his Moms cooking. Yujin is survived by his parents, Jay and Yoshiko Preston his sisters, Elika and Yuli, his grandmother, Helen V. Preston, and by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins in Japan. We hope to see Yujin again in Jehovah Gods promised New World in His Kingdom. To Yujin, my little "bother" (Sung to "Someday" by Sugar Ray) Someday Since your life was robbed from me I hope and pray that I will see you alive and well again. One day As I know it a Godly vow Dealing with the pain and learning how it fades away. Just close your eyes and Ill take you there A world of peace without a care The wolf and lamb will live as one Death, tears, and pain will be all done. Someday Lives go on throughout this time. The luminaries still keep their shine, wont fade away Wont fade away. Just close your eyes and Ill take you there A world of peace without a care The wolf and lamb will live as one Death, tears, and pain will be all done. Jehovah said there will be Paradise for all to see Satan jailed and Christ as King Jahs universal sovereignty. So close, so near So close today So close, no fear So close today. Someday Since your life was robbed from me I hope and pray that I will see you alive and well again. One day As I know it a Godly vow Dealing with the pain and learning how it fades away It fades away. --Yuli Preston Psalms 37:11; Ecclesiastes 1:4; Isaiah 11:6-9; John 5:28,29; 2 Peter 1:19; 3:13; Revelation 2:7; 19:16; 20:2,3; 21:3,4.
High Flight Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings Sunward I have climbed and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hovring there, Ive chased the shouting wind along And flung my eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue Ive topped the windswept heights with easy grace Where never lark or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind Ive trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand and touched the face of God --John Gillespie McGee
